Ebbw Fawr Learning Community Achieves Prestigious Cymraeg Campus Aur Award.

Ebbw Fawr Learning Community is delighted to announce that its primary phase has been awarded the esteemed Cymraeg Campus Aur Award, marking a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to promoting the Welsh language.

This achievement is the result of years of dedicated effort, with staff and learners working tirelessly to embed the Welsh language into every aspect of school life. The Cymraeg Campus Aur Award recognises schools that demonstrate exceptional commitment to creating a bilingual environment, and Ebbw Fawr Learning Community is proud to be the first primary school in °¬˛ćAƬ—and among a select few in South Wales—to receive this honour.

“We are incredibly proud of our primary phase for this outstanding accomplishment,” said Headteacher, Mrs Melanie Thomas “It reflects our dedication to fostering a bilingual community for staff, learners, and the wider public. A special diolch yn fawr to Leanne Skinner for all her hard work in leading us to become the first primary school in °¬˛ćAƬ and one of the few schools in South Wales to achieve this fantastic award.”

Councillor Sue Edmunds, Cabinet Member Children, Young People and Families commented, “Huge congratulations to Ebbw Fawr Learning Community for this award, it is a testament to the incredible amount of time, work, and effort that the primary phase and all the staff and pupils have put in.”
